A small town called Albany in Oregon has provided its 52,000 population with an online tool where citizens can view how tax-payers’ money is being spent. The town’s expenditure is updated daily and is available for the public to view.

They can also vote on initiatives. Bravo leaders of Albany, for being transparent and letting your residents play a part in the town’s life. We are certain something similar would be applauded by the residents of our borough.
